Black Friday plug-in solar deals
For Black Friday we have taken £55 off Bolt 460W and £75 off Bolt 920W, our two most popular ENA-listed plug-in solar kits. Bolt 460W is £494.99 instead of £549.99 and Bolt 920W is £674.99 instead of £749.99. Both are in stock, dispatched in one working day with free UK delivery, and both plug into a standard socket under the 2026 rules once registered at myplugin.solar. The offer runs until Monday 30 November 2026 or while stock lasts, whichever comes first. There is no code to enter; the price in the basket is the price you pay.
Which kits are in the sale
Bolt 460W, £494.99 (was £549.99). One 460W rigid glass panel, a Hoymiles HMS-800-2WB dual-MPPT microinverter with S-Miles Home app monitoring, a ground frame and a UK plug cable. About 516 kWh a year at a 40° tilt facing south in London, around £130 off the bill in year one. The spare input on the microinverter means you can add a second panel later. ENA register: THUNE/21203/V1. View Bolt 460W.
Bolt 920W, £674.99 (was £749.99). Two 460W panels on the same microinverter, about 1,012 kWh a year and around £193 saved in year one. At the sale price the difference between the two kits is £180 for almost twice the output, which makes the 920W the better buy for anyone with room for two panels. ENA register: THUNE/21204/V1. View Bolt 920W.
Bolt Max 530W, the Storm kits, the Plus bundles and the Vault batteries are at their normal prices this year. If one of those is the right kit for your space, the compare the kits page shows every figure side by side, and the saving on a kit that fits is worth more than a discount on one that does not.
What the discount does to payback
Our 20-year projections use the full price, so the sale shortens payback rather than changing the saving. Bolt 460W at £494.99 pays for itself in a little under four years instead of a little over; Bolt 920W at £674.99 comes down to about three and a half years. Over 20 years the kits still return about £3,345 and £4,965 respectively, and the first £55 or £75 of that arrives at checkout. The savings calculator gives a figure for your own postcode and tariff, and plug-in solar payback explains the assumptions.
Why buy plug-in solar in November
It sounds like the wrong month. It is actually a reasonable one. A kit ordered now is on the roof or in the garden before the days start lengthening in January, so you catch the whole of the spring and summer when most of the year's output arrives. Panels in winter still produce on daylight rather than direct sun, so the kit is not idle while you wait. And the Black Friday price is the lowest these two kits will be this year; we do not run a January sale on Bolt. If you are weighing it against an import kit on Amazon, our best plug-in solar kits in the UK 2026 guide looks at what you get for the money, including ENA listing, UK stock and a UK warranty.
Everything else stays the same
The sale price buys the same kit as the full price: the same panel with its 25-year product and 30-year performance warranty, the same 10-year microinverter warranty, free UK delivery, the free setup video call and 30 days to return it if it is not right. The flat-roof mounting upgrade (£34.99) and the 10 m cable option (£39.99) are still available at checkout. Installation across England from £499.99, subject to availability and a site assessment, can be added to either kit; it is not discounted, but it does include the myplugin.solar registration.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Black Friday discount on Thunder plug-in solar? £55 off Bolt 460W (£494.99, was £549.99) and £75 off Bolt 920W (£674.99, was £749.99). The price shows in the basket with no code.
When does the offer end? At midnight on Monday 30 November 2026, or earlier if the kits sell out. We hold UK stock, but the 920W in particular goes quickly in a sale, so order rather than wait if you have decided.
Is the sale kit the same as the full-price kit? Yes. Same panel, same microinverter, same warranties, same ENA listing and the same free delivery and setup call. Nothing is removed from the box.
Can I add the flat-roof brackets or a battery at the sale price? The brackets and the 10 m cable are checkout options at their normal price. A Vault battery can be added to either kit at any time; it is not part of the sale and is hard-wired by an electrician rather than plugged in.
Will Bolt Max 530W or Storm go on sale? Not this Black Friday. Bolt Max is already the lowest-priced kit in the range at £449.99, and Storm pricing is unchanged.
Can I return a sale item? Yes. The 30-day free returns policy applies to Black Friday orders in the same way as any other order.
Does the price include installation? No. Installation is a separate service from £499.99 across England, subject to availability and a site assessment. Most customers fit a Bolt kit themselves in an afternoon with the free setup call.
